“I stayed here for almost a week during the summer of 2007. The outdoor spaces are incredible. It is the perfect place to sit on the back porch with a good friend or a good book. You can sip something refreshing and gaze across the vast lawn to the water, then occasionally venture down for a quick dip or a paddle. We also enjoyed dinners around the large dining room table and playing the piano. The room I stayed in felt like going back in time to a simpler existence. With windows on three sides, high ceilings, and the freshest air, I never slept better. I look forward to returning for another stay.”

“The Big Brown House provided a perfect retreat for my family last summer. We spent most of our time outdoors — running in the large grassy fields, swimming in the water, and picking fresh berries for our dessert cobbler! Amazingly there was no problem with bugs or ticks. We built a campfire and roasted marshmallows every night. One day we visited a giant corn maze (there were kid-friendly and adult versions of the same maze) not too far away... everywhere we drove was beautiful. Another day we packed a picnic and hiked on a nearby hill. What a special place! ”
